Angel Food Cake
Angel Food Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. cake flour, 1 2/3 c. egg whites, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 c. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Sift cake flour.
Measure; add 3/4 cup sugar and sift 5 times. Set aside.
Beat egg whites and salt until foamy; add cream of tartar.
Beat until egg whites stand in a peak, not dry.
Add vanilla and almond flavoring.
Then turn the mixer on low speed and add 1 cup sugar.
Add 1/3 at a time with mixer on low just until mixed.
Then add flour and sugar that has been sifted together (do this by hand with a wire spoon).
Use about 1/3 of flour and sugar at a time and fold it in.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour or until done.
