Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. self-rising flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 2 pkg. dry yeast, 2 c. buttermilk and 5 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine flour, sugar and baking soda.
Cut in shortening and mix with hands until it feels like coarse meal.
Add yeast which has been dissolved in 1/4 cup of very warm water. Then add buttermilk and mix well until all dry ingredients are absorbed. Cut desired amount dough and shape into biscuits. Bake preheated for about 10 to 12 minutes or until brown.
Serve with butter.
