Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 2 tbsp. very warm water, 5 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. soda and 3 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl; cut in shortening with a pastry blender.
Add buttermilk and yeast mixture; stir until thoroughly moistened. Turn dough out onto floured board and knead 1 or 2 minutes.
(No rising is required.)
Roll dough out to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
Place on ungreased baking sheet; brush with melted butter and bake at 400Β° for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
