Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 2 tbsp. warm water, 5 c. flour (white lily self-rising flour), 1/4 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside.
Stir together flour, sugar and baking soda and cut in shortening.
Mix buttermilk and yeast water. Stir in flour mixture. Knead 4 to 5 times.
Pat out to 1/4-inch thick. Place closely together on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400Β° for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush melted butter on top.
