Amish Cream Pie
Amish Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c granulated sugar, 1/4 c cornstarch, 1/4 tsp salt, 2 1/2 c half and half or light cream and 1/2 c butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
In a medium saucepan, stir together granulated sugar, cornstarch and salt. Whisk in the half and half or cream and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
Remove from heat. Stir in butter, brown sugar and vanilla till butter melts.
Pour into baked pie shell and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
