Amaretto-Almond Sauce
Amaretto-Almond Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. cornstarch, 1/2 c. water, 3 tbsp. amaretto and 1/2 tsp. lemon juice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Combine sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan.
Stir in water.
Place over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in Amaretto and lemon juice. Heat just until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat.
Stir in Grape-Nuts and almond extract.
Serve warm over frozen yogurt, angel food cake, fresh fruit or baked apples.
Yields 3/4 cup (12 tablespoons).
