Almond Slices
Almond Slices is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 oz. (1 1/2 c.) almonds with skins, 2 c. sifted flour, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. soft margarine and 1 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Grate nuts; do not grind!
Put nuts, flour and sugar in bowl. Blend in margarine with fingers or pastry blender.
Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
Shape into 2 long blocks, 2 inches square. Wrap in wax paper; chill or freeze overnight.
Cut into 1/8-inch slices.
Put on cookie sheets.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove at once to racks to cool.
Yields 5 dozen.
Store in airtight containers.
Will not ship well.
