Almond Butter Crunch
Almond Butter Crunch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. light corn syrup, 1/2 c. coarsely chopped toasted almonds and 4 oz. milk chocolate, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt butter in pan.
Add sugar; stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves, then add 3 tablespoons water and corn syrup.
Cook until 290Β°, about 12 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Quickly add coarse nuts.
Spread on buttered baking sheet.
Immediately sprinkle chocolate over top; let stand a few minutes, then spread evenly.
Sprinkle with fine nuts.
Chill until firm; break into pieces.
Makes 1 1/4 pounds.
