Alaska Sheet Cake
Alaska Sheet Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine, 1 c. water, 2 c. sugar, 2 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In saucepan, place margarine and water; bring to a boil.
Pour mixture into a bowl with sugar, flour and salt.
Blend in with a mixer, then add buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla, along with the eggs.
When all ingredients are blended, pour into a greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
Bake at 400Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Spread with frosting while still a bit warm.
Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped nuts, if desired.
