7-Layer Southwestern Dip
7-Layer Southwestern Dip is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. shredded lettuce, 1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained, 1/2 c. chopped red and yellow sweet peppers, 1/4 c. green onion and 1 (18 oz.) carton sour cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Line in a 12-inch platter with the lettuce.
Stir together the beans, sweet peppers and onions; spoon atop lettuce, leaving a lettuce border.
Dollop with sour cream; spread gently over bean mixture into a smooth layer.
Sprinkle with jalapeños and 1/3 cup of lime peel, if desired.
Drain excess liquid from salsa and stir in avocado.
Spoon atop of sour cream layer.
