Zippy Carrots
Zippy Carrots is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1-1/2 c. sliced carrots, 1 clove garlic, minced, 1 tbsp. water and 2 tbsp. diced green pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a small saucepan, brown butter over medium heat.
Add carrots and garlic and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
Add the water and cover.
Cook until carrots are crisp-tender, about 6 minutes.
Add the green pepper and cook 2 minutes more.
Remove from the heat and stir in the ketchup and chili powder.
Serves 2.
