Yule Kaka
Yule Kaka is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, scalded, 1/2 c. shortening, 2/3 c. sugar, 2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. crushed cardamom seed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Combine milk, shortening, sugar and spices.
Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast, softened, in warm water.
Add eggs and mix well.
Add flour; beat well.
Add fruits and remaining flour.
Let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and knead lightly.
Form into 3 loaves. Grease pans.
Let rise until double in bulk.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 45 minutes.
While warm, brush with melted butter.
