Yeast Rolls
Yeast Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pt. milk, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 1/4 c. warm water and yeast cake, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Heat together milk, sugar and shortening.
When cool, add yeast cake that has been dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water.
Add enough flour to make a thin cake dough.
Let rise 1 hour.
Add soda, baking powder and salt.
Sift flour and add to mixture. Work well.
Put in refrigerator and use as needed.
When making rolls, let rise 3 hours.
