Yeast Doughnuts
Yeast Doughnuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water, 1/2 c. salt, 3 tbsp. butter, melted and cooled, 2 eggs and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix the yeast mixture, salt, butter, eggs and sugar.
Add flour to make stiff dough.
Let rise for 7 hours.
Roll out and cut doughnuts.
Let rise 40 minutes.
Drop into hot oil and cook until golden brown. Dip into a glaze of powdered sugar and enough water to make a syrup. Always cool standing up sideways.
