Yeast Butterhorns
Yeast Butterhorns is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 cake (or pkg.) yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water, 1 egg, beaten well, 2 c. scalded milk, cooled to lukewarm, 3 tsp. salt and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Dissolve yeast in water in small container.
Let it soak while beating egg in cup.
Put the sugar and salt into a large mixing bowl.
Pour scalded milk over it and stir.
Add yeast, being sure to scrape it all out, next add beaten egg and stir again.
Now add 3 cups flour and stir until blended.
Add melted butter (be sure it isn't hot) blend, add 3 more cups flour and stir until blended but do not knead as with most yeast doughs.
