Wine Biscuits
Wine Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 2 slightly rounded tbsp. baking powder, 1 c. oil and 1 c. dry red wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix flour, sugar and baking powder in a bowl.
Make a well in the center; add oil and wine.
Mix together thoroughly.
Pinch off pieces of dough about 1-inch in diameter.
Roll pieces between palms into cigarette-shaped cylinders, then bring ends together and pinch to form circles.
Place on ungreased baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg yolk.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until bottoms look dry.
Makes about 5 dozen.
