Wilted Cabbage
Wilted Cabbage is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 slices bacon, 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped, 2 tbsp. vinegar, 2 tbsp. water and 1 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cook bacon until crisp in a large skillet.
Remove bacon and drain on paper towels.
Reserve drippings in skillet.
Saute pepper in drippings until tender.
Stir in vinegar, water, sugar and salt.
Bring to a boil.
Add cabbage and apples; toss gently. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Spoon into serving dish.
Crumble bacon and sprinkle over top.
Serves 6.
