Boil until brittle stage when dropped in cold water. Put on buttered platter. When cool enough to handle, pull as long as possible. The more you pull it, the less sticky it will be. Be sure to butter your hands before you pull the candy. It is more fun to have someone pull the taffy with you and you can each take an end of the rope of taffy.
