White Fudge
White Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. dairy cream, 1/4 c. milk, 2 tbsp. butter and 1 tbsp. white corn syrup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine sugar, cream, milk, butter, corn syrup and salt in heavy 2-quart saucepan.
Stir over moderate heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture reaches a boil.
Boil 9 or 10 minutes (soft ball).
Remove from heat and let stand until lukewarm.
Add vanilla and beat until mixture begins to lose its gloss. (Requires little beating.)
Quickly stir in walnuts and cherries. Turn into oiled pans.
Let stand until firm.
Makes 1 1/2 pounds.
