Combine sugar, sour cream, milk, butter, corn syrup and salt in heavy saucepan.
Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and reaches boil.
Boil 9 to 10 minutes to 238°.
Remove from heat; let stand until it cools to 110°.
