In large bowl, cream butter and sugar
Add eggs, one at a time
Add flour and vanilla
Mix in fruit and nuts. (May have to mix with hand.) Pour into a greased and floured tube pan
Bake in preheated oven at 275Β° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours
Cool about 30 minutes
Loosen edges and remove from pan.
