White Cake
White Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. shortening, 2 1/2 c. cake flour, 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt and 1 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Measure and sift all dry ingredients; mix alternately with shortening and sugar and the first 3/4 cup of milk.
When this is blended, add vanilla and remaining 1/4 cup milk.
Beat egg whites until very stiff; add remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and fold into batter.
Bake as a layer cake or sheet cake.
Bake at 350Β° for about 35 minutes. Cool and frost with your favorite frosting.
