White Batter Bread
White Batter Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. milk, 3 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. salt, 2 tbsp. margarine and 1 c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Scald milk; stir in sugar, salt and margarine.
Cool to lukewarm.
Measure warm water into large warm bowl.
Sprinkle yeast into water; stir until dissolved.
Add lukewarm milk mixture.
Stir in flour; batter will be fairly stiff.
Beat until well blended, about 2 minutes.
Cover; let rise in warm place, free from draft, until more than doubled in bulk, about 40 minutes.
Stir batter down.
Beat vigorously, about 1/2 minute. Turn into one greased 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 375Β° for about 50 minutes.
