Preheat oven to 350Β°. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.

Gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.

Cream butter and remaining sugar.

Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add flour, 1/3 cup at a time, alternating with whiskey.

Stir in vanilla, almond extract and pecans.

Fold in egg whites.

Pour into 3 greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans. (I have done 1 Bundt and 1 loaf pan.) Bake for 1 hour.

Freezes well. (Good for Christmas.)
