Westhaven Cake
Westhaven Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. pitted dates, cut into small pieces, 1 c. hot water, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 c. butter or oleo and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Mix all together dates, hot water and baking soda and let cool.
Cream sugar and butter.
Add eggs, then mix dry ingredients together.
Then alternate dry and date mixture together, beating well.
Place in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Top with 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1 cup chocolate chips.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes until done.
You can sprinkle with a little powdered sugar when done.
