Western Stew
Western Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. beef, cut in 1-inch cubes, 1 (8 oz.) bottle catalina dressing, 2 c. water, potatoes and carrots, cut in rounds, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Marinate meat in dressing for several hours or overnight in fridge.
Remove from marinade and brown meat.
Combine meat, marinade and water in a 2 1/2-quart casserole.
Cover.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
Add vegetables and continue baking for 45 minutes.
Place biscuits around edge of casserole; brush with margarine.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 475° for 8 to 10 minutes.
