Washboard Cookies
Washboard Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. brown sugar, 1 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. baking soda and 1/4 c. hot water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix baking soda with hot water.
Mix all ingredients together and chill overnight.
Roll into strips 2 1/2 inches long and about as big around as a nickel.
Press down with a fork.
