Walnut Roast
Walnut Roast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. whole wheat bread crumbs, 1 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped, 3 c. cooked brown rice, 1 onion, chopped and 2 stalks celery, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Saute chopped vegetables with sage, salt and soy sauce in 1/4 cup water.
Blend flour and sunflower seeds with 2 cups water. Add to sauteed vegetables and simmer a few minutes.
Place in bowl bread crumbs, walnuts and brown rice.
Add sauteed vegetables and sunflower mixture.
Mix well.
Pour into casserole dish and bake at 350Β° for 45 to 60 minutes, until well browned.
Serve with Chicken-like or Cashew Gravy.
Serves 8 to 10.
