Walnut Dream Bars
Walnut Dream Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1 1/4 c. sifted cake flour, 1 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 2 eggs and 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
With a pastry blender or two knives, cut the butter or margarine into 1 cup of the flour and 1/4 cup of the brown sugar, until mixture is the consistency of coarse cornmeal, as in pie crust.
Pat this mixture firmly into an ungreased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan and bake in moderate oven, 350Β°, for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
