Blend butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar and flour.
Press mixture firmly into shallow pan (two 8 x 8-inch pans or one 9 x 13-inch pan).
Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
Beat eggs.
Add sugar and mix well; add remaining ingredients.
Spread mixture on top of previously baked crust.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until brown on top.
Do not overbake.
Cut into squares while warm.
