Walnut Chess Pie
Walnut Chess Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 can cream or carnation milk, 3 tsp. cornmeal, 1 stick butter and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix dry ingredients together (cornmeal, sugar, salt and flour). Beat 6 egg yolks, then stir in vanilla flavor, cream and margarine. Beat on 3 speed.
When finished mixing all ingredients together, then put in pie shell.
Cook pie shell for 9 minutes on 400°, then put in ingredients.
Put nuts on top of mixture, then cook on 425° for 40 minutes.
