Waldorf Salad
Waldorf Salad is an moderately easy salad you can prepare in about 1 hour 18 minutes. Made with red delicious apples, cubed with skin on, large can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup, drained (save juice), c. chopped walnuts, orange juice and . cornstarch, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Put pineapple juice in 2-cup measuring cup.
Fill up to top with orange juice.
Add 2 tablespoons sugar.
Mix a small amount of juice with 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch.
Bring the rest of the juice to a boil and slowly add cornstarch mix.
Cook until thick. Remove from heat and add 1 tablespoon butter.
Cool, then add to apples and nuts.
Mix.
