Sift dry ingredients into 9 x 9-inch ungreased square pan. Make three holes and pour oil, vinegar and vanilla in separate holes.
Pour water over all and mix with fork.
Do not beat.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes. Leave in pan and frost.
