Vienna Slices
Vienna Slices is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 c. apricots or raspberry jam, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Sift dry ingredients.
Cut butter in same as for pie crust. Mix egg yolks, milk and flavoring.
Add to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly; press in bottom and up sides (about 1/2-inch) of a 9 x 12-inch pan.
Spread jam on top, then gradually beat sugar into egg whites.
Fold in nuts and pile lightly on top of jam.
Bake in a 350Β° oven for 30 minutes.
Cool; cut into diamond shapes.
