Vermont Apple Pie
Vermont Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 to 8 large tart apples, 9-inch unbaked pastry shell, 1/2 c. sugar, 3/4 c. gingersnap crumbs and 1 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Core and pare apples.
Slice thin.
Spread about half the slices in a pastry shell.
Combine all remaining ingredients, except maple syrup.
Mix well. Spread half of this mixture over apples.
Add rest of apple slices and spread remaining crumb mixture evenly over top.
Bake in moderate 350Β° oven about 50 minutes.
Heat syrup to boil.
Pour over pie.
Bake additional 15 minutes.
