Velvet Cake
Velvet Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 4 egg yolks, 1/2 c. cold water and 1 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream the butter.
Add sugar gradually, yolk of eggs well beaten and water.
Mix and sift flour, cornstarch and baking powder.
Add to first mixture.

Bake forty minutes in a moderate oven.
