Variable Vegetable Strata
Variable Vegetable Strata is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 slices day old bread, 1 to 2 c. chopped, cooked vegetables, 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese, 6 eggs, slightly beaten and 1 can cream of chicken soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cut bread into 1/2-inch cubes.
Sprinkle half of the cubes into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle vegetables and cheese over cubes.
Top with remaining cubes.
Blend together eggs, soup, milk and seasonings.
Pour egg mixture over bread-vegetable mixture.
Cover.
Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Bake in preheated 350Β° oven until golden brown, about 50 minutes.
