Melt butter in a 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan.
Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Cover with pie filling.
Pour cake batter over all. Bake at 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes, invert on a serving plate.
