Two Way Toffee Bars
Two Way Toffee Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 1 egg, 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cream butter or margarine and brown sugar.
Add egg and vanilla.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Blend in flour.
Spread on jelly roll pan or 2 (9-inch) square pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 minutes.
Immediately top with milk chocolate bars.
Spread over surface thinly with spatula.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Sprinkle other half with shredded coconut.
Cool, then cut in bars.
Makes 4 dozen.
