Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 box chocolate cake mix, 14 oz. pkg. caramels, 1/2 c. evaporated milk, 1/2 c. margarine and 1 c. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Prepare cake mix according to directions.
Pour 1/2 batter into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, unwrap caramels and melt with evaporated milk and margarine in saucepan over low heat.
Pour mixture over hot cake, spreading evenly.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans on top of caramel mixture.
Top with remaining cake batter.
Bake 25 minutes or until cake tests done.
Serve plain or with whipped cream or ice cream.
