Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 2 hours 12 minutes. Made with german chocolate cake mix, (14 oz.) pkg. kraft caramels, eagle brand milk, margarine and c. coarsely chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Make filling first so it can cool.
Melt Kraft caramels and margarine in a saucepan.
Add Eagle Brand milk; stir often and cool.
Mix German chocolate cake as directed.
Pour half the batter in a greased and floured x 13-inch pan.
Bake 15 minutes at 350°.
Remove from oven and cool.
Pour filling over cake layer; sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips. Pour remaining batter on top and bake minutes at 350°.
