Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix, 14 oz. kraft caramels, 1 1/2 sticks butter, 1/2 c. evaporated milk and 1 c. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Melt caramels in saucepan over low heat with 1 1/2 sticks of butter and evaporated milk.
Make cake according to box directions. Pour 1/2 of cake batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Bake for 15 minutes at 350°.
Pour caramel sauce over partially baked cake and add chocolate chips and pecan pieces. Pour remaining cake batter over top.
Bake for 20 more minutes at 350°.
Don't cut while hot.
