Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 german chocolate cake mix, 1/3 c. milk, 1 (16 oz.) bag caramels, 1 stick butter or margarine and 1 bag chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix German cake mix according to package directions.
Pour half of the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
While this is baking, in microwave or over low heat, melt butter and caramels with milk.
Pour on top of cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over caramel layer.
Spoon rest of batter over this.
Bake at 250° for 20 minutes and then at 350° for 10 minutes.
Let cool, cover and refrigerate.
