Mix cake as directed on box. Pour 1/2 in greased and floured pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350Β°.
Melt caramels and milk over low heat. Pour over baked cake. Sprinkle chips and nuts. Pour remaining batter over top. Bake 17 to 20 additional minutes.
