Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 german chocolate cake mix (pillsbury plus), 1 c. evaporated milk, 1 pkg. caramels, 1 c. pecans and 3/4 c. soft butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix together with mixer the cake mix, 1/2 cup evaporated milk and 3/4 cup soft butter.
Pour half the mixture into a 13 x 9-inch greased pan.
Bake at 350° for 5 minutes.
Melt caramels and 1/2 cup evaporated milk.
Pour over baked mixture.
Sprinkle pecans and chocolate chips over mixture.
Spoon rest of batter over mixture and bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.
(Do not try to spread or stir.)
