Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix, 14 oz. pkg. caramels, 1 c. chopped pecans, 1/4 lb. margarine and 7 oz. eagle brand milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

In top of a double boiler, melt margarine, caramels, and Eagle Brand milk over moderate heat.
While this is melting, prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Pour 1/2 of the batter in a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 15 minutes. Cool caramel mixture slightly and pour this over baked layer and sprinkle the following on top: 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped pecans.
Pour the rest of the batter over this and bake for 15 more minutes, or until done at 350Β°.
You can frost or eat plain.
Good with ice cream.
