Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with german chocolate cake mix, c. oleo, softened, c. water, c. cooking oil and condensed milk, divided, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine first 4 ingredients; mix well.
Add 1/2 of the condensed milk and blend.
Pour 1/2 batter into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Melt and blend caramels and remaining milk.
Spread over baked cake. Sprinkle with pecans.
Cover with remaining batter and bake at 350° for 25 to 35 minutes.
