Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels, 1/2 c. evaporated milk, 1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix, 1 1/3 c. water and 3/4 c. soft butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Melt caramels with evaporated milk.
Mix cake mix with water, butter and eggs.
Pour 1/2 batter in a 9 x 13 pan.
Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
Pour melted caramels over that.
Sprinkle nuts and chips over caramels.
Pour remaining batter over this and bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
