Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (18 1/2 oz.) box chocolate cake mix, 1 (16 oz.) bag caramels, 1/2 c. evaporated milk, 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter and 1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix cake according to package directions.
Pour half of cake batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 minutes.
Melt caramels with milk and butter over low heat. Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture over cake. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.
Pour the remainder of the chocolate batter on top and return to the oven and bake for 20 minutes longer.
Serves 12 to 16.
