Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels, 1 box german chocolate cake mix, 3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted, 1 can evaporated milk and 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Melt caramels over double boiler with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Set aside.
Mix cake mix, butter and 3/4 evaporated milk.
Spread 1/2 of cake mix in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 15 minutes at 350Β°. After 15 minutes is up, take out of oven and spread with melted caramels.
Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.
Spread remaining batter on top.
Bake an additional 15 minutes.
